NESSIE – A GENTLE GIANT LOOKING FOR A LOVING HOME
✅ LOWER ADOPTION FEE ✅ CAN COME TO FOSTER

Nessie is a 23-month-old, spayed Sarplaninac mix, already in the UK (North Cliffe, York, YO43) and patiently waiting for a kind, experienced home where she can gain confidence and flourish. This big, beautiful girl weighs 38kg and is looking for an adopter who understands large breeds.

Nessie’s adoption fee has been significantly reduced for the right, big-dog-experienced home. She is currently in the care of an experienced foster but is ready to find her forever family. Full rescue backup is provided to both adopters and foster carers.

🐾 What Nessie Loves & Needs:

House-trained & toilet-trained
Affectionate & cuddly – loves belly rubs and attention
✔ Enjoys sniffy walks
Loyal & loving – bonds deeply with her trusted humans
Loves playing in the garden & sunbathing
Travels well in the car & settles nicely

🏡 The Right Home for Nessie:

💙 A calm, quiet home – She prefers a peaceful environment over a busy, noisy household.
💙 An experienced owner familiar with large breeds – Nessie is a big girl who needs confident handling.
💙 A secure, enclosed garden – She loves playing outside and relaxing in the sun.
💙 A rural or village home – Nessie isn’t a fan of loud, urban areas and thrives in quieter surroundings.
💙 A patient adopter – She lacked socialisation in her previous home and is now learning about the world again.

🐕 Can Nessie Live with Other Dogs?

Nessie could be an only dog or live with a calm, easy-going companion. She has lived with an older dog before and enjoyed their company. However, she can be boisterous in play, so she wouldn’t suit a small or highly energetic, dominant dog. She has had limited contact with male dogs.

👶 Can Nessie Live with Children?

Yes, older children (12+) would be ideal, as Nessie is very affectionate but unaware of her size. She adores children but may accidentally knock over younger ones when playing.

🏡 Why is Nessie Looking for a New Home?

Through no fault of her own, Nessie’s previous family could no longer meet her needs due to a change in circumstances. She had been with them since she was a tiny puppy but was left alone at home for long periods without socialisation or walks. She needs a patient home to bring out her full potential.

Nessie is fully vaccinated (including kennel cough), spayed, and healthy. She is easy to meet in the UK and is available for adoption or foster.

Can you be the one to give Nessie the love, patience, and gentle guidance she needs?
